Bright, welcoming, and unmistakably Parisian, the Sézane pop-up at University Village brought a fresh breath of French style to Seattle. With sunlit interiors, sculptural furniture, and warm, textural details, the space felt more like a thoughtfully styled apartment than a retail storefront—something that made photographing it a joy.

The design embraced natural materials and soft color blocking, pairing curved white bouclé seating with soft wood tones, stacked denim, and creamy stone textures. Accents of brass, velvet, and floral arrangements brought a sense of lived-in elegance, while built-in shelving and vintage-style racks kept the styling approachable and effortless—true to the Sézane aesthetic.

As a commercial and interior photographer, I always look for ways to showcase how a brand's identity comes to life through space. Here, light played a leading role. Morning sun poured into the storefront, highlighting the color palette and creating a natural rhythm that brought out the softness and warmth of the materials. From wide gallery views to styled vignettes—like the “Bonjour Seattle” sign or the signature denim wall—every frame was designed to tell a piece of the brand story.

Sézane’s ability to combine intentional design with a relaxed, inclusive energy made this pop-up particularly inspiring to photograph. It’s a perfect example of how retail spaces can be more than functional—they can reflect lifestyle, community, and creative expression.
